Women....

A few different styles not necessarily representative of my mood but what I had to work with.  The two bottom ones, I found multiple graphics and created one 'scene.'

They say it's coming.....

         

Well, it is still in the mid 40s here and rained on and off all day but no sign of snow or the winter storm they are predicting.  They say it is still coming and by morning we should have snow on the ground.  They are predicting the same thing for Detroit and surely the 'high rollers' will be glad the game is in a dome.  It is supposed to be extremely windy and bad visibility.  

Had a pretty relaxing day.  A good friend that I worked with in the past was in my neck of the woods so she stopped by.  It had been way to long since we saw each other and it was nice to sit and chat.  We tried to get caught up, but even after a couple of hours we still had so much to say.  We promised each other to get together more often.  Talking on the phone isn't the same and is usually cut short by something else going on.  She did want to see the stash of graphics and couldn't believe how many I had that I hadn't posted yet.  I told her my secret about a few and we had a good laugh.  Of course I love sharing, but like I've said before so I like to hang on to a few for my use with an entry first.  

With that said, I did say I'd post some more today.  I guess the theme is going to be women.  LOL  I've practicing with the 'wind' effect on a couple and then of course the light effect.  Enjoy... I will be watching my boys play the Ottawa Senators.  The Sen's are a few points ahead of us in the standings and it would be good to pull out a win.

Freezing

   

I posted yesterday how it was 50 degrees, sunny, and absolutely beautiful.  Today when I got up it was foggy and rainy.  As the day went on the temperature dropped and the wind picked up.  I am not one to get cold, but I am freezing.  My feet feel like ice and it doesn't seem to matter how much I put on, I'm cold.  Even my fingers are chilled.  Don't worry I have my heat on, but with gas prices as they are I am not turning it up any further!  I think I've been spoiled the last few weeks.   

The weathermen are telling me that will be changing.  We will be under a winter storm watch from Saturday afternoon until Sunday night, and the snow will continue through next week.  Normally at this time it's not an issue, but with the lake being wide open and such cold air crossing over it's perfect for lake effect.  Yippee!  Yeah right!  I knew we weren't home free, but I was hoping for more mild weather.  Snow and high winds expected with lots of white outs.  They aren't saying a lot of accumulation, but that is enough to have me stay put.   

It's been a busy week and I am glad it is Friday.  I spent some time earlier this evening filling tag requests and I think everyone is looking for nice weather, I had several requests for my new one.  Feel free to stop by D's Designs and take a peek.  I also had some time to do a few graphics just to do.  I will try and get a few posted this weekend.  

My son still has no start date, but is assured he has the job.  The bid process is still in place and will need him to fill 'a' spot, they just aren't sure where.  Maybe he won't get the weekend night shift after all.  ROFL  Just wonder what he will get.

This week has gotten away from me completely.  Where does the time go?  I have accomplished a ton this week, but still it feels like it went by so quick and then the next minute I'm so exhausted it feels as though it's last a life time.  

Well, Phil saw his shadow this morning and they say that calls for 6 more weeks of winter.  It was 50 here today and our winter has been mild.  ::knocking on wood:: so 6 more weeks won't be bad.  Besides, I am not even sure I buy the whole story.  It's over when it's over.  I just like the sunshine and we had tons of that today.  It was wonderful!  I suppose a 3 hour lunch with the President of my company and a client helped.  ::giggle::  Ah, but I still have to make up the work.   

The boys were home tonight after a 6 game road trip.  Six games doesn't sound bad but it lasted about 3 weeks.  ARGH!  They played another top team in the conference, the Philadelphia Flyers and I have to say they totally dominated the game.  The final score was 4-2 but the second Flyer goal was a lucky one.  A misplayed puck that left our goalie out of position.  Anyone out there who saw the game may have been a bit confused about the sell out crowd chanting USA.  Our goalie, Ryan Miller, born in Michigan was not picked to play goal for team USA.  He currently is about 6th in the league with a 2.25 goals against.  Tonight we played against one of the goalies that was chosen, Robert Esche.  Esche's goals against 3.07 and is 27th.  The two other goalies picked, Grahame 13th with 2.67  and DiPietro 36th with a 3.41.  It's been reported that the USA will probably not do well and one weakness is in goal.  So why would they slight Miller in this way?  The team?  The country?  I don't know about you, but I think it's a no brainer to take someone who allows 2.25 goals a game on average over a guy who allows 3.41.  It's all politics apparently.  The fans tonight showed their support for Ryan and their displeasure in the choices made.   

Those of you waiting for an update on my son and his job.  He is still waiting.  He passed everything and was offered the job, but there was a delay and now it's back to waiting.  Apparently someone internal bid on the job and because of the union.........  He will be calling Human Resources tomorrow to get an update and maybe a start date.  Keep your fingers crossed.  All this waiting and change in plans has him in a bit of a grumpy mood.

Why we want clouds tomorrow :)  I know I'd like to see this and soon!  Now those of you that don't get 'winter'  No comments from the peanut gallery :)~

Cloudy Day?

                          

Can we all just hope for a cloudy day tomorrow.  No sun means no shadow, no shadow, well we all know what that means.  I suppose with the mild winter we've had I shouldn't be greedy, but I am.  I want spring, I need spring!!  

 Not that you need my permission but feel free to snag.......... LOL
