Today was fabulous and has me thinking spring is actually here. It was still a bit chilly with the wind coming off the lake, but the sky was blue and the sun was out all day. They are calling for 72 by Thursday ::doing a happy dance:: Yeah yeah, I know some of you call that chilly. I call it perfect for an April day!!
On the way home from work the moon was overhead. It looked so large and clear against the blue sky. I got my things in the house and went back out to get a shot. It isn't perfect, but at least it's only one. LMAO!!! On a few of the shots I moved and I had a couple of them :)~ The other day I grabbed a shot of the trees across the street with the cloud in the background. I thought it looked unique, fake almost. The sad part is the broken limbs on the tree. :::heavy sigh::: left over from our storm a couple years ago. Once the leaves come out you'll hardly notice, but with bare branches a lot of the trees have a 'spooky' look. You can see it in the sunset shot from this evening as well. I just loved the yellows, oranges, and reds. No sun, just color.
Well, once again I'm up late. I have had hockey on and it seems to make my evenings just fly by. I hate to go to bed before the game is over, but EEEEEEEEKKKKKKK I have to! LOL
I hope everyone is doing good.
Hugs

OMG Donna. Your photo's are awesome. I love the moon shot, but especially like that last one. How cool is that? Good job girlfriend.
Hugs, Joyce
That moon shot is crazy beautiful! It looks enormous!
I'm like you...I love reds, oranges, and yellows. Earthy colors. Muted greens and blues. Actually, not so much blue. If I am ever fortunate enough to buy a home, it's going to be painted in all these colors. I love autumnal colors best of all....
XOXO,
bridgett

Wow, beautiful shots Donna! 72 will be like 90 for you after the cold snowy winter you had! I remember all too well about those kinds of winters up in Michigan before I became a snowbird for the winters...bbbrrrrrrr, I could NEVER go back to those days...
Were in the 70s all week with a big maybe 78 for Friday.

wow that moon does look big maybe where getting closer to it.
I love the last one of the sunset and the inspirational verse too. Now that was brilliant!
I have never seen the moon that big!
We are still having early morning frosts here in the English Lakes. Even though we are surrounded by daffodils and all spring flowers.
I could do with a bit of warmth now.

In all my years of taking pictures, I never got a good shot of the moon. I think she was trying to tell me to just admire her and be content with that!

Donna these pictures are lovely ..love Jan xx
great pics always love them.
I think your photo's are excellent as well as the thought's you write to go with them. Thank you so much for visiting my journal and lending your encouragement concerning my recent lumbar back surgery. My surgeon said the bone was so strong where he removed the obstructing bone that no fusion was needed. My recovery is not difficult at all. It still is a major surgery and I am following all of his advise and not lifting anything heavier than a gallon of milk. I am able to pick thing up by bending at the hips and not at the waist, with my back brace on. I can even tie my shoes now. I am a slow typist comparitively to some, and can not keep up with the journals' always, but I do eventually get to visiting people, year in, year out. mark
