Who Me?

Oh no, not me.  I can only take credit for the entry not the idea.  I had so many nice emails and comments regarding the little troll who can't seem to move on, go away, not bother with me, it was remarkable.  Thank you.  The more I heard don't let them bully me into going private, the more I had to agree.  Then I got an email regarding what would be funny.  I spit my tea all over laughing so hard.  I decided to do it, such a bad influence on me.  I loved it!   At this point I am really not sure what to do.  I know going private doesn't solve anything because if they want the info they will get it (and apparently they do or they'd just go away).  :::waving:::  yeah I know you're there :)~

The volcano did not melt the snow, nor did it warm things up.  It's been such an odd snow band today, but it hung over my house the entire day.  I left for work with virtually 0 visibility.  My ride is about 14 miles from my door to the office parking lot.  I got about 6 miles and it was like I went through a door.  The sky was blue and the sun was out.  Go figure.  It was cold but it wasn't snowing.  Oh, that is until I left work.  The band shifted a bit north so I drove all the way home in it.  I was greeted by about 6-8 inches of newly fallen snow.  That after the driveway had been cleared a few times.  It's still coming down but I can see across the street for a change.  Schools have been closed this week and if it keeps up this evening I'm sure they will be closed again tomorrow.  I do have a little gripe on the matter of closing schools.  If it is snowing and dangerous to drive, by all means close them.  Close them because it is cold out?  WTH?!  We are babying our children.  I never got off school because it was cold.  My parents never got off school because it was cold.  Just ask  my Dad, he'll tell you.  'When I was in school I walked 3 miles, with crappy shoes, in the snow, up hill, both ways!'  Now because of all the 'cold days' they've had this year these kids miss out on their spring break.  They have to make up days, and if it keeps going they will be going longer at the end of the year.  I'm not saying I don't care about the kids, I do.  C'mon though, if you let them play outside while they are home from school they can stand at the bus stop for a few minutes to get a ride.  Oh, and bus stops, it's not like they have to walk to the corner of their little dead end side street.  The towns built little turn around's at the end of the street and the bus stops at every 2nd or 3rd house, on both sides no less!  We wonder what is wrong with kids of today.  They are spoiled!!!

Oh, and yes... those snags I promised the other night.  Hope you find something you like.  I'm not sure I like the font on the 'sweet memories' it looks like an n instead of an m.  Oh well, I liked the look of it.  I need to get off to bed.  It's going to be one helluva ride to work tomorrow.  Yes, I will animate the scenery before I leave so I think it's winter out.  Here are some pictures from other folks in the area that think it's winter too.   :::evil grin:::

Love you guys!!!

~ Drama ~

And apparently I am the cause of it all.  Since I get mail from tons of different folks, and new names all the time because of the groups I'm in, I just read through the 300+ I might get in a day.  I'm not paranoid so I don't scan each email address to try and determine who it is, half the time I don't know the name anyhow, but I guess this is inviting it.  I guess since my physic powers don't work and I can't block a new cowardly name from my journal before it posts the BS, I am inviting it and thriving on it.  Since AOL does nothing but send out a canned letter if you even send them the BS, I am inviting it, thriving on it, and enjoying it.  Sounds just like me doesn't it?

Over the past week or so I've ignored a lot of bullshit, but this weekend took the cake.  I've been accused in subtle and not subtle ways of stealing graphics and claiming them as my own.  I've been accused of copying others work to 'try' and keep up with them.  I've been informed over and over why I wasn't given the best animation Vivi.  Like that was my life long goal.  Hmmm sounds like someone thinks I suck at my hobby.  Yet this weekend I got such a compliment for my hobby.  Imagine that!?  Now I'm so good at what I play around with I actually manipulated photo's and video to make it appear the snow was bad so I'd get attention.   WTF!?!  Watch the freaking news!!  Click on www.weatherchannel.com  I've made no secret about where I am located.  Hell, I've even posted links to local news channels.  Why the hell would I make up anything about weather?  Something so easy to check on?  Why would I make up anything I put in my journal, such as a dog birthday party?  For attention?  Oh pallease!!

Well, I've had it.  I'm so full of drama I can't stand myself.  Maybe that is why I'm doing this entry.  Attention, ya know?  Actually, I've been contemplating just closing shop and moving on to something else.  I've contemplated just going private.  Not to hide my graphics, but to keep some out so not to scrutinize each and every entry, each and every graphic, to question what is true and what I might have made up.  To leave ludicrous comments, send ludicrous emails to myself or others.  Do I want to?  No.  I don't want to give in to such cowardly acts.  Will I?  I haven't decided, but I wanted to give you a heads up if my entries get sporadic, if all of a sudden you get a 'gone private' alert.  I'm not doing this entry for the 'drama', though some will think that.  I'm not doing it for the comments or attention, though some will think that, and I'm not doing the entry to point at anyone, but oh you can bet your last dollar some will think that too.  I'm doing it because it's my journal and I am so freaking tired of the bullshit.  I have enough shit in my real life, and no it's not made up, I don't need it here too.  Cripes this is suppose to be fun!!!

So sorry to cause additional drama, but I had to get it off my chest and put some kind of explanation out here just in case.   I know me and I will make a decision and just do it.  Hugs to all of you and thank you so much for all you do for me!

If you take the time to check out my weather you'll see it's freezing here.  The snow has moved south, but not before dumping more today.  Schools are closing left and right, more because of the cold in my town, but some because of the continued snow.  I'm off to climb in bed and get some sleep.  I do have to work in the am.   Be good ya'll

~ What A Difference ~

DsDesignsCouplehours.gif

Well, it is 9 degrees out with a wind chill of -11.  The snow has stopped falling for the moment but what is on the ground is being blown all over.  I did venture out earlier to drive my son to the stag.  At my house it was as clear as a bell.  I went and grabbed my camera to get a picture looking across the street.  When I had shot the video I took a still picture, but it was impossible to see anything.  I tried to get the same angle, and I came close.  You can use the newly downed tree on my front lawn and the mailbox across the street as markers to get a feel for how bad it really was.

I pulled out of my driveway and not 4 miles away you could see nothing but the flashers on the cars in front of you, and you could barely see them.  As I turned on to his street I cursed him.  I mean I CURSED him.  I had no idea what lane I was in.  I missed his driveway completely and had to turn around and then I just pulled in to the Deli across the streets parking lot.  I was not even going to attempt to turn into his drive.  My car may be a tank, but not through that!  He came out and I wouldn't have seen him except his motion light came on.  We made our way slowly to the place the stag was being held.  He thanked me over and over for getting him.  I cursed the boys.  Why they didn't cancel it I have no clue.  About half way there the snow had stopped and there were just little funnel clouds crossing the street as the wind blew what was on the side of the roads.  I got there and home safely, and no worries I would not have even attempted it had I thought I couldn't.

The kids made it over before the snow had started and we had lots of fun together.  Several times we looked out the front window only to see white.  My picture window had snow stuck to it so you couldn't even see.  Bug thought it was hysterical and the one great shot I got of her was accidentally deleted off the camera.  GRRRR  Normally I get a warning beep but not this time.  Figures!  Gage did lots of playing on the computer.  He loved the cable connection and how fast it was.  At one point Bug stood at the computer looking at my buddy list.  See the shot of her on the bottom right.  She was looking for her best friend, the little boy, to appear.  It was a hoot to listen to her and watch the faces she made.  I just had to get a few shots.  She really wasn't in the mood for the camera tonight, but you know me I just snapped away.

Ok it's late and I need to shut down so the lights can go off.  I will be back tomorrow with some snags.  I promise.

It Arrived!

Just thought I'd share what a difference a couple hours makes.  You saw the picture looking across the street with the clouds coming in.  I just took this video from my front porch.  Just about the same spot I was in when I took the pictures.  The house across the street is gone, and forget about seeing those trees.  The howl of the wind can be heard.  Let me tell you this came out much clearer then it actually is you can see the blinkers on some of the cars as they go by.

Who wanted snow?

~ Winter Warrior ~

That is exactly how I feel right now.  Last night my drive home from work took well over an hour.  Mother Nature sure likes to mess with me.  It's beautiful and calm all day, then an hour before I get to leave work the sky darkens and the snow flies.  More blowing what was already on the ground then actually falling from the sky.  It was miserable driving and visibility was close to 0 at times.  It's like that for a couple of hours and then stops.  Well, it stopped here, but the snow band actually moved north.  It's frigid outside.  The temperature isn't 20 and the wind chill is falling below 0 at times.  It's been snowing like hell only 10 miles from here and they are saying it will be moving south later this afternoon early evening.  They are predicting over a foot of new snow and high winds.  Oh the joy!!  The sun is shining brightly outside my house and the sky is a vibrant blue.  Looking out my front window tells a story all by itself.  The storm is rolling in...........

~ Sister ~

Hi everyone!  ::waving::  I hope you are all doing great on this wonderful Thursday.  Did I say wonderful?  LOL  It's colder then a witches tit and it's only going to get worse for the weekend.  I can't get warm, and I swear I have the heat cranking!  ::shiver::  Drinking ice water doesn't help, but I am a water freak.  I drink a ton all day long and it has to be cold, ice cold.  Oh well, maybe I will start wearing gloves all the time so not to have my fingers turn into frozen stubs.

I want to thank everyone for the sweet comments and emails regarding the recent episodes.  I did not take offense to any of them, so no worries :)  I did want to just mention that my intention was not to make my sister out to be a bad person.  She is not, far from it!   We all raise our children based on circumstances and what we think is right.  None of us are perfect, and contrary to popular belief children do not come with directions.  You go with your heart, your gut, and your head.  Learn as you go.  Sometimes in the effort to help we make things worse, sometimes better.  It doesn't make you a bad person for making a mistake.  It doesn't make you a bad person when you help children.  Hell, I've been known to help my son out.  Hmmm.. and to be honest he has helped me.  It's a mutual love and respect.  It's what that person receiving the help does with it.  How they react, what they do to help themselves.  No one can tell another person what or how.  It's as simple as that.  Once our children get to a certain age all you can do is hope you've instilled enough good sense in them that they grow and respect (themselves and others).  If they don't it does not mean you are a failure, or that you are bad, chances are it means they just haven't matured to that level.  Sometimes it is a confidence thing.  We all know folks that are like that.  I know some that are in their 40's and 50's.  I don't blame the parents, I blame the person.  There comes a time in life that you buck up and take responsibility.  Act like an adult.  My sister has done her best and at this point really can't do any more.  I do not expect her to take sides, it isher son.  I do expect her to respect my wishes and she has.  K...'nuff on all that... but thanks again.

So... it's Thursday.  Can I just say it feels like this week has lasted 10 weeks!?!  I woke up this morning actually thinking it was Saturday.  Grrrr what a disappointment!  Nothing worse then moving very slow only to have the realization that you have to get your ass in gear, like 10 minutes earlier.  No worries I got to work on time and actually had a fairly good day, but I wanted it to be Friday!!  One more day, yeah!!  Saturday we will have a slumber party.  Gage and Bug will be spending the night here, it's the night of the stag and bride's night out.  Should prove to be interesting and exhausting.  Bug is always on the go and hates to sit still.    Gage, well he's a talker.  Wonder who he takes after.. surely not his quiet shy aunt.

Just a couple snags tonight.  Like I said it's been a long week.  I do like them both, maybe you will too.  Hope everyone is doing great... enjoy your Friday.  I know I will :)

Hugs
