~ Back to Work ~

DsDesignsThankfulfor.gif picture by 55hockeyfan I really don't have much to say today, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things.  I took today off and did some things around the house.  One of the things I wanted to do all summer but never found the time or really felt like it was going through the old clothes that don't fit and get rid of them.  I have no idea why I save things.  I understand holding on to smaller sizes as you always think, 'some day I will get back in to them.'  These were clothes too large.  You'd think I'd want them out of sight as soon as possible.   Needless to say I eliminated about 3 large trash bags of clothes.  My dresser and closet are much more organized.   My niece took a few things, some went directly into the trash, and the rest will go to Amvets or Goodwill.  I will most likely drop them off in the next day or two.  You wouldn't believe how much still had tags.  GRRRRRRRR  always intending to return them and never did.  At least my niece got some of those.

Did get out and ran to the store today.  At least it wasn't mid afternoon by the time I put a brush through my hair.  LOL  Just picked up a few groceries and made Sloppy Joe's for dinner.  Exciting, right?  NOT!

Back to work tomorrow and hoping my desk isn't buried.  Or maybe I hope it is so I can get lost in work.  Doing ok, but I am still in a bit of a fog.  Maybe being around my co-workers (good and bad) will be good for me.  Time will tell.

Boring entry I know........... just trying.   Hope everyone is doing ok.  I will be around soon.

Hugs

Not boring at all.  I'm just glad you are back and sound relatively good, considering.  I know that fog.  Spent a good deal of this year in it.  You never forget... but as time goes by your heart hurts less and remembers wonderful things more.  Promise.

Keeping busy is a good thing. You got alot accomplished today. I hope tomorrow is a good day for you at work. Just take it one step at a time. ((((((hugs)))))

I don't think it's a boring entry.  I like everyday life type of entries.  :)
I have yard sales every summer and get rid of tons of clothes.  I figure if I haven't worn them for more than a year.....they're gone.

The fog is normal.  It'll start clearing soon.  I think work will be a good distraction for you.

Regardless, hope you enjoyed those sloppy joes!  :)  We had hot dogs. ::blah::  LOL

XOXO,
bridgett

This is not a boring entry!  Every day stuff is good to talk about, huh?  I got rid of more stuff than you to Good Will!  So we both win!  I got rid of about six bags!  BTW,  I love your graphic!

You want to talk about boring, try my life...lol.  There is no way I could write a journal.  It would put everyone to sleep.  I enjoyed reading about your day.

Oh man that is what I have to do! Do you have a resale shop by you? Heck, with gas prices being what they are you can use it for that...much less a few movies to go out some night or to get your nails done etc. HA! Mine then donates anything left after 30 days.

Just glad to see you are back, Donna.  Seems like you accomplished a LOT today--and hope work has a curative effect for you tomorrow--but don't rush yourself.  Grief will hit you at the strangest times--don't be surprised by it.  People do understand.  Am sure your co-workers will be helpful.  Prayers are with you.  Hugs, LaVern

The best you can do is just take things one day at a time....sooner or later that fog disappears...not the hurt nor the missing, but just the fog so that real life can be lived again....you are doing great girlfriend.....writing, I think, helps with dealing with feelings and thoughts...at least you got alot more accomplished then I did...getting rid of clothes that are too big must have felt great....take care

Hi, Donna.  I'm really proud of you for getting back into life so soon.  I think your sister would be, too.  You're a brave and caring woman and it showed in the way you loved and helped take care of your sister with such tenderness.  You'll do fine and I'm sure your co-workers will be there to lift you up should you tumble a time or two.  Just remember...the Lord (and your sister) will be right there, reaching out to you to help you through this.  God bless you, Donna.

I'm one of those who can't part with anything, large or small sized.  I get them sorted out for the thrift shop and then I dive back intot he black bag and tell myself.."It might just come in handy one day".  Lol!
You are very good to sort them all out and keep it that way!
I'm so happy to see you making an entry.  I wish you all the best at work.  I found it cathartic when I lost my parents.  My colleagues were surpised to see me so soon but work kept my mind occupied until I could deal with things.
Praying you will find some solace in the routine of work until you can look ahead and smile.
Hugs

You're never boring Donna!!!
I'm a bit like that, I keep small clothes and big clothes, because you just never know when they will come in handy do you???  Not!!!  My daughter goes mad at me. we have a clear out and I just put everything back in the wardrobe.
I hope being back at work will be good for you, keeping you busy, being around people.
It will get better Donna. With time. Just take one day at a time.
Sending prayers to you and hugs too.

Donna
I hope you have as agood a day as can be expected back at work today.  Congratulations on getting your closet and dresser cleaned out and better organized.  Most of us could use more organization around us.  I know how frustrating it is to donate or give away clothes that still have the tags on them.  It's good to finally admit that they need to go, though, and reclaim that needed space.  Good luck today!

Hi my friend:
Your entry was not boring at all.  I enjoyed hearing about you cleaning your closets out, as I sat here last night saying, hmmmmmmm some of you things got to go,  no room for anything anymore, lol.  I have not had Sloppy Joe's in years and was thinking when I read it, what a good idea, think I will have some of that.  What I have seen in your entries since your dear sister passed, is the strength that you show, the caring that you still show till all your friends here in journal land and the thank you's and emails you have taken time to send to others.  Work may be a bit difficult but sometimes emersing ourselves in other things, helps the healing process.  Prayers being offered up for your family and sister and you my friend.  God bless and thank you for all your beautiful graphics, your entries and thinking of us all here even during such difficult times for you.

Nice to see you around Donna. You have just reminded me I so need to clear my Wardrobes, I thought it was just me that still had 'tags' on things I'll never wear (lol).
Know the feeling about the 'Fog'.....it will get easier ~ Promise.
Thanks for the lovely Tag, I've just started doing entries again... and it is my favourite colour also.
Take care of you
Aileen....X

Very well done sorting out your clothes ,I had a blitz the other week ,had so much stuff hanging there ,spoiling the good stuff ,so out it went ,lol hope work is good to you ,take good care of your self ,love Jan xx

If you haven't gotten rid of those clothes yet, consider E-bay or a consignment shop!  My Aunt brings her gently used or new clothes to a consignment shop and makes some money that way!  Linda

Why do us ladies have so many clothes that don't fit?! I've got too big and too small clothes, it's a struggle to find something that fits me! Lol! I feel a real sense of achievement if I get something out and the buttons do up! I'm glad you're getting back into the routine of things, it does help. I hope your first day back at work goes well and you aren't completely snowed under, just have enough to keep you going all day. Jeannette xx

I know it must be hard getting back into the swing of things.  You are a beloved part of J-land and we are all lucky to have you here.  Glad you got rid of the bigger size clothes, you won't need them. : )  Have a nice tomorrow.

I went through a few stacks of clothes, too, and found several things that still had tags on them....some of which I did take back...I have clothes EVERYWHERE and I need to just take about half of them to Goodwill.
