~ What is It? ~

DsDesignsWhatisIt.jpg picture by 55hockeyfan

So last weekend, we sat in the backyard looking out into lake Erie.  Off in the distance something was bobbing in the water.  Several of us squinted and grabbed glasses to see what it was.  A duck?  A seagull eating dinner?  Garbage thrown over the side of a boat?  I won't get into all the guesses, but I decided, to hell with that.  I grabbed my camera with the zoom and zeroed in on it.   I laughed.  'What is it?  What's so funny?' were the cries in the background.  I was tempted to not tell them.  Instead I took the picture and let everyone see for themselves.   Heavy sighs as they walked away.  They wanted it to be what they imagined.

What is it?  OMG!  I can't believe so many had a hard time guessing.... or guessed wrong.   LMAO  I would never give up my boys or hockey.  Not EVER!  My life and it's schedule revolves around their games 99.9% of the time during the season.   The day my niece gets married there is a game.  You can bet your ass at 9 pm I will be at the bar watching the game.  You can bet your ass others will be there too.   They may call Detroit Hockeytown, but like the Dallas Cowboys anointing themselves 'America's Team', it's a lie!!   LOL  Mark...don't argue the point, you won't win with me :)~

What is it?  It's the last freakin weekend in July.  Can you believe it?  Where the hell did the time go?  I feel like my summer was pretty full, but I also feel it was full of rain too.  Hot hot days, then a few days of wild rain.  We had hail here the other night.  Wild storms blowing through.  WTH!?!  August better be a good month!   And summer better run into October!!!  It's raining here again.  I am hoping to get to Niagara Community College later today.  They are having a hot air balloon festival.  The first set of balloons went up at like 6 am.  OUCH!  No way I was getting up early for that show, but they go again at 6 pm.  I am hoping the rain will stop (they say it will) and I get up there.  Keep your fingers crossed.

What is it?   It's time for me to get my butt in gear and get off this damn box and accomplish something today.   Have a great day everyone!

Hugs

That picture is a trip. I loved how you said you didnt want to tell them what it was. Then when they looked, they sighed and walked away too funny. Exactly like u said they wanted it to be like they imagined. I have to admit though i cant really get what that is, lol. I know u would never give up on your boys. Thats an easy answer there. You love your boys and you love hockey. Haa i definetly can see you there at the bar watching the game at ur nieces wedding. Ur a trip. I cant believe its the last week of July either. LOL ~ The summer is going by fast.  School starts back here Aug. 8th.  My baby will be a junior!  Where does the time go?  I'm looking forward to your fall graphics.  Fall is my FAVORITE season.  All the beautiful colors & cooler temps too.  I hope you enjoyed the balloon show....& it doesn't rain on you.  It's raining here right now.

Also, nice incorporating the picture as the frame and adding the texture to it.  I love the look.

Another thing they can't have in Florida...Hot air balloons : (  The air has to be cooler than the air in the ballons.  Doesn't work down here.  I used to love goingup to the Adirondack Ballon Festival up in Glens Falls. The most and bestballons took off in the early morning .  We used to camp out there at the Glens Falls Airport and catch the morning show.  Don't forget the camera!  hugs,  Bethe

I'm gonna take a wild guess and don't even know if i am spelling this right but i'm gonna guess it's a "buoy" one of those things that float in the water to tell boats which area to go through.....

Hope you had a great time at the festival!

Wow, I have no clue what that is....all I know is we've had no summer here in the Burgh.  A couple of days of sun followed by weeks of clouds and rain.  We've been in the pool about 5 times.  Today was the first cloudless day and actually sort of feels like summer.  Love ya, Chris

Its a bouy......... i know what you mean about the summer...... the weather here has beeen awful..... when it has been warm this last week its been very hazy and humid as hell. Yesterday was warm but i had all the family over and was busy so didnt really get to see any sun, today we are off to the garden with the grandchildren today to get the pool out. We didnt have any water this morning as a water main burst on the corner of the road...but seems ok now.
Have a great day
