~ WoW ~

DsDesignsSnowmanHellopastel.gif picture by 55hockeyfan

Hope everyone is doing well.  I'm hanging in there.  Last night I came home from work and immediately started working on the commissioned holiday card.  I was so excited as it started to take shape.  I just couldn't stop.  The actual card will stay private, but maybe down the road I will post a portion of it.  It has business information on there, and no offense, but it is not something I am putting out here for all to see.  No, it's not because I have a fake job.  LOL  It's because of the little troll who lurks.  I spent several hours working on it and then forwarded it to the Marketing Manager at work.  After I sent it on, I felt exhausted.  I was in bed early and slept until late this morning.  Surely it was a combination of all the excitement and adrenaline followed by the let down of it being done.  Ok, and staying up until un-Godly hours watching my boys out on the West Coast doesn't help.

My manager replied, and we tweaked it a bit earlier today.  I love it and hope that management and those that receive it like it just as much.  She hasn't responded since I sent the update but hopefully it will do and we can get it out early this week.

Today I spent the day shopping.  It was a chilly damp day but I had to get some more shopping done.  I'm getting there and just have a few more items to pick up.  I think anyway!  Got home in time for dinner and I was chilled to the bone.  I was shivering and drinking tea but couldn't get warm.  It took what seemed like hours before my body relaxed and got toasty.  I have to go out again tomorrow, GRRR maybe the stores won't be crowded with the football game on.  LMAO  yeah right!  I have to run to get dinner gift cards, coffee coupons, gas cards, and then off to the drug store for additional stocking stuffers.  I've been trying to do that for days, but just have not gotten to it.  With any luck I will tomorrow.  Then guess what.. LOL I have to wrap it all!  OMG!!!  I should wrap as I buy but I never learn.   How is everyone doing on their shopping?  Done?  Wrapped?  Even start?

Going to go lay on the couch and pay attention to the boys for a bit.  Doubt I will stay up for the entire game, it didn't even start until 10:30 my time.  I hate west coast games!  Love getting to see the teams, but damn I hate the start time.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Hugs

All my shopping is done...just gotta wrap.  But usually, I can sweet talk the hubby into doing that for me.  ;)

Love that 'Hello' tag, btw.  It's my favorite shade of green.

XOXO,

So glad your card is going so well.  I'm afraid I am a little confused...by commisioned does that mean you make it for a company and they pay you for it??  I think it would be amazing doing what you love and getting paid for it.  I am despirately looking for any job at this point with no luck for almost 2 months.

Sorry your troll is back.  I have never seen anything by this person but they should be ashamed of themself.  What are they 9??  Some people really suck...LoL...sorry but that is just how I feel.

It was hot here today.  I usually have my Christmas decorating finished the weekend after Thanksgiving & my shopping mostly done by now.  I guess with the weather & financial situation I just can't get into it.  We are working on the decorating, but haven't even gotten the tree up yet.  There will be no shopping here this year, as we are fighting to make ends meet and they are miles away right now.  On the bright side...no wrapping...LoL.  I think the hardest part it not being able to buy for our daughter.

Well, enough about me.  You take care of yourself!!

Hugs,
Veronica

Lovely tag. May I snag it?! For me, Christmas shopping is done throughout the year instead of December. I haven't had a job for the past six months, however, so I don't have much to give this year. But yes, it is more practical and more fun to wrap as you go. That way on Christmas, even you are surprised! lol

i would never put any real private but true info online in a public journal either. There are vicious women out there. I am SO glad your masterpiece came out as you wanted it too and i know the bosses will love it. It has been cold here too and very hard to get warm. The snow and freezing rain does not help. We have not wrapped a thing nor put up a tree so you are not alone in not getting it all done. I hope you have a happy Sunday.
LOVE, lisa

Stores are crowded during big games because everybody thinks the same thing about the sports-loving population.... I wonder if there's ANY good time to go shopping this month. grrrrr

Hi Donna ~

I AM DONE shopping ~ I don't shop for much any more ~ as one gets older, it gets harder!  I'm enjoying it a LOT more this way ~ few gifts and money for the immediate family!

I got my gift wrapping done yesterday!  Got my tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving and adding some decorations in the house here and there each week.

Our son got our outside lighting up and on ~ we are beautifully LIT now!

Ready to enjoy the season ~

Have a good Sunday & week ahead!

I'm about halfway there with my shopping, and I'll be glad when it's done.   I HATE the crowds!     It's going to be near 70° here today, so come see me and you'll be plenty warm.
Wouldn't you love a job where you just dealt with graphics play all day?

So happy you made progress on the holiday card...sounds nice, and down the road would be nice to see, little sipets...but understandable what you said concerning privacy issues.  It was cold here too yesterday.  Hope when you go out today...things are less crowded, but don't count on it...LOL.
Have a nice day...stay warm!!!
Hugs and love,

I'm a computer shopper.  Bought, wrapped, decorated and never left the house...lol.  Can we say LAZY?  Maybe it's just old age setting in and it's just the easiest way to do it.  Don't get stressed out over it.  It always gets done, right.
Hugs, Joyce

I haven't started shopping for anyone in my family... no one needs anything. Anything I could buy for them would simply be spending money. I'm tired of buying things for people just to give them a gift. I'll make them something. I'd like to make them something, but now I'm crunched for time. I did pull some angels off our church angel tree, and will go shopping for them today. There are a lot of needy people out there... with prices up on everything, and people out of work, getting sick or hurt. Maybe shopping for them will help me get into the spirit of giving. Can't wait to see your card... or the parts of it that you will be able to show us. Have a good week!

The game start time is late, but I don't mind so much since it keeps the boys busy and gives me some quiet time early or late. I've started shopping but haven't gotten halfway done yet, hard to do much on the weekends with the kids home so the plan is to get a lot done this week while they are in school. Its just been way too cold out.

I am old so I start early.  My cards are in the mail and so are my packages to Utah. Now it will be fun to wait until I get some wild ideas about what else to send out.  You are very fast, too, I see, to be so far along on your Xmas shopping!  The comissioned holiday card sound like it will be great, knowing your work.  Glad that Xmas is maybe lifting your spirits a little after this iyears sad events.  Gerry
