~ Evening ~

               DsDesignsTrueLove.gif picture by 55hockeyfan

Maybe a Valentine snag?  ::evil grin::  Just wanted to do a quick entry and say hello.  Thanks for all the nice emails, I am feeling a bit better.  I don't have the 'odd' feeling anymore and my headache is pretty much gone, but I still have some kind of sinus bug.  No infection, but it's there.   Can't possibly have anything to do with the weather.   Remember last Tuesday, the Ice Bowl?  The snow, cold temps, and wind?  Well we've broken records for the past three days with temps in the mid 60's.  Yeap, you heard that right, the mid 60's.  These records weren't broken in the middle of the day while the sun was out, they happened during the night/early morning hours.  Monday night/Tuesday morning at 1 am it was 64.  Go figure.  Who says it's winter 10 months of the year here?  Freaking media!  LOL  Good thing the hockey game was last week :)

This morning I was woken up with a start.  I swear it sounded as though the house was collapsing around me.  Wind gusts of over 60 MPH.  It was fairly warm, but windy.  Schools were closed, lots of folks in the area were without power, some still are.  It's crazy.  I've gotten no damage and didn't lose power or cable, but lots of folks spent a good portion of the day cleaning up. The temps have since started to fall and it's in the 40's.  They say by the weekend it will be back to normal completely.  Oh the joy!?!

Left work a bit early today.  A wonderful trip to the DMV to register my car.  Nothing exciting there, the wait wasn't even long.  Maybe 10 minutes tops.  Yeah baby, that's what I'm talking about.  I am aware you can register your vehicle right on line, but you know the extra charges that get added on then don't go to the county, they go to the state.  Not thatthe state couldn't use the funds, but I'd rather keep the money local.  Besides, I waited a bit too long and didn't want to risk not getting my new sticker before the old one expires.  I know my luck and a ticket would be forth coming.

Hope everyone had a great day and I wish you an even better tomorrow.

Hugs

~d

I'm glad you are feeling better.  I was blaming my sinus infection and strep throat on my g/son but maybe I got it from you...LOL.  We had bad storms and record highs also.  I didn't have any damage but the wind was amazing.  I like your "Valentine" tag.  Have a nice day.
Hugs, Joyce

Good news that you're feeling better.

Science tells us, it's not the change in weather which makes us sick, it's germs...and germs can't live in cold weather.  Then why have the majority of us, been told by our moms, all of our lives to:  1) change out of wet clothes, quickly;  2) don't run around with a "wet head";  3) wear coat/scarf/gloves in the winter;  4) don't go barefoot [indoors] during the winter months???  LOL  I understand  you could certainly dispute those "old wives tales"...with vigor.

Our weather has been weird, as well.  Below normal temps; high wind; and now, above normal temps...all to fall below normal again by the weekend.  se la vie

Blessings,

Cindy

Hey babes.....weather's awful here too. I'm SICK of the wind!!

Hope your bug clears up soon....I think we've had that too, and now there's a new one going around that's so bad, people are being told NOT to go and see a doctor, but to cinfine themselves until it passes, which is days!

Grr..what's happenin?!

Love ya

Your weather sounds like our weather.  60 degree temps this week and last night, wind gusts in the 40 mph range.

Parker's school was cancelled on Wednesday due to a power outage.  He was happy.  ;)

Love the snag.  :)

XOXO,
bridgett

Glad you're feeling better!

Hi D,
Long time no talk. Slowly getting back into things here... not much of a response on my end, but I can imagine why, lol. I miss you.
The graphic is gorgeous, I love it. Reminds me of a certain someone ;-)

We've had the exact same kind of weather the past few days...  Unseasonably warm (::sigh::) and then high winds last evening that caused a blackout through town.  We're expecting snow soon though....  'Joy' is right...

I'm glad to know you're feeling better!  Take care  ;o)

Hugs,
Michelle

Freaky weather............hags.......ooops sorry trolls and boys......... what is this world coming to ?

Yes the weather has been weird to say the least ....we have had rain here in the Uk...... buy yesterday the winds were certainly wailing around, the blew my wooden bird table straight over onto the flat roof....... 5 minutes earlier and i think maybe i would have been saying a few prayers for the ickle birdies.

Glad to hear that it did not affect you too badly......they forecast wet weather for today and sunday .....not been that bad today.

Have a great weekend
hugs Jayne

Oh Mother Nature when will she stop her games huh?  Hope things get better in that department for you.

I still have to go to the DMV to transfer my address on my DL.  I am just hoping when you do a change of address you don't have to take a new picture too. YUK!

Thanks for the snag.. I like it!

Love,
Promise

I think the weather is a bit freaky all over, just lately. We've had high winds, and rain.  I don't think there's anymore rain left in the sky.  Glad to hear you are feeling better.  There are so many different bugs around, you can't avoid catching something.
