~ Bee Happy ~

    DsDesignsBeeHappy.gif picture by 55hockeyfan

Yeap, I'm happy.  I just got off the phone with my son.  Makes me laugh.. makes me cry.. happy tears.  He made my day as he does so often, and he doesn't even realize it.  Again, I hope everyone has a great day... filled with love, happiness, and the strength to embrace good memories of loved ones who can't be with us on this day.

Bee Happy.......  yes be happy even if AOL is messing up.  I've heard folks are disappearing off of buddy lists, even tho they are not blocked.  Journals acting up and not showing up.  Comments disappearing...   emails disappearing....    ahhhh be happy anyway it's just AOL.

I am happy...   but will admit there is something that has been popping up more and more.   I was emailed not to long ago about snags and why I don't do many.  Well, the truth be known.  I'm tired of folks snagging, altering by resizing or stopping animation.  By tagging and then adding their sig line to the graphic.  Sharing as though it is their work, or sharing and then acting as though they do not know where they got it.  Maybe they don't... maybe they snagged it from someplace else.   I just know that I've been following the licensing rule and adding my information only to see it claimed by someone else.  I pay for the right.  How dare someone take it upon themselves to basically steal and claim as their own with my license information.  Many of you know my work, as well as others that follow this rule.   I would hope that if you see something like this done you will not take advantage but rather ignore the offers or the urge to use.  This is the only way these 'thieves' will stop.   Same goes for those that take my personal pictures/collages.  I ask rather clearly that they not be taken, let alone taken and tagged to be shared with others and have a stamp/signature of someone else.  It is happening more and more, and frankly as much as I don't want to go private..............   I watch as my counter goes up by 40-50 after an entry but I have 10-15 comments.  Not that I expect folks to always comment, though it's nice....   something is stinky here.  Now, I'm not giving an opinion on whether it's right or wrong to have a license.  That is up to the tagger.  What I am saying is I do pay for the right to use the tubes, the scraps, and I am willing to share, but not so someone else can claim it.  I would hope folks would understand.  I am seeing it more and more, not just with my work, but many.  Please help put a stop to it if you see it.  I and everyone else would appreciate it.

Ok........ done ranting.... off to Bee Happy........  dinner has been decided.. Bar-b-que burgers... YUM!!!

hugs

~d

hi Donna-Happy Mothers Day to you! Glad to hear u happy and BBQ sure sounds like fun!
I was sad to hear re theifs taking your work, how sad that theyhave to use someone elses work and claim them as their own....all of your work is gorgeous and u have taken some mighty fine pictures but why not just go to your site and look at the pretty pictures-its in a journal so its always there and if they want a tag, all they have to do is request it. I know sometimes a person may wish they had more than one tag, but well its a choice you have to make and like the rest of us, we do it all the time....do we want it for us or someone else. There is always more tags coming anyway..like the cowgirl tag-that was awesome but I had to make the choice, as much as I loved it, I knew that I had a friend whos name is simplyacowgirl--so I knew right there, it needed to be for her and sometimes its better to give than receive as in this case but you put all your hard work and effort into this, and a person that tries to claim it as their own must be jealous and without any morals.Im just happy and thankful 4 all u do and sure appreciate all ur effort and hard work. I hope they are caught-they should be ashamed of themself! k, I let my "roar" out but lets hope we catch them! Hugs, love to you and your family.

I don't understand why someone would not want to give credit where credit was due!  It is such an honor to both parties when credit is given and shared.

What did your son do to make you so happy?

Donna, I love having my name on your work!  I am proud as well to display it.  I appreciate the fact that you were willing to help me when the animation didn't show.  For me, this is something to show you care about your tags and for the people who have requested them.  I hope your Mother's Day is going well.  Blessings, Penny  http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/FromHeretoThere

That would really be weird to have a collage of your own photos taken by someone else....you reckon they just don't think, or what?   I haven't noticed any AOL probs..but there are so many folks on my buddy list and 635 emails, I wouldn't notice (or care, lol) if some of them disappeared.    I don't know if I'd recognize if someone swiped something....there are so many of the same tubes that get used, I get confused.
Glad you are having a happy day.

I've not seen any of your graphics on other people's journals but I don't get around much any more! I also like to think that the journals I visit are written by nice people who wouldn't steal your stuff. It's awful to think some go as low as to steal your personal collages too. I think you offer up enough stuff so people shouldn't feel the need to steal! I'm glad your son made you happy and I hope the rest of the day is good too. Jeannette xx

Glad you had a nice mothers day ......I will sure keep my eyes open for your tags ....that someone had tried to make their own.

Have a great week!

Good information to know.  I've seen a lot of this going on through the Yahoo Groups who send.  I wonder if people get into Photo Bucket accounts and take.  Don't really know : /    Thak you for the reminder-you didn't rant, it needs to be said.  hugs,  Bethe

Glad your Mothers Day was nice.
I hear you about the snags! I have a snag or tag journal...but most everyone snags. I will have a lot on my visit counter but only 3 or 4 comments!!! I've seen yours, mine, & a couple other peoples animation stopped on journals. Also, I've had several snag & write on it, tag it, change the color of it, & resize it! I've seen a few on journals! GRRRR I offer to do it, why don't they ask?
Have a good week.
Hugs,
Sugarf

Donna, as long as there are honest folks 'out there' there will always be the polar opposite.  We love your work and we appreciate your talent and your integrity.  I get such a kick out of seeing one of your graphics in someone's journal and I can't say that I've seen one without your signature (if I did, you'd know!)

hi donna, i agree with you about the tags/snags. I see alot of people offering their art work (digi scrapbooking kits too) and always leave a comment to thank them. i know how much work goes into these things (i've done it!!) and appriciate that. I think you are right not to offer snags, as you say you pay for your licences and it would not be fair to you to see your hard work messed about and claimed by another. take care donna and have a good dinner! mrs t xx

Hi Donna, glad that you had a great Mothers day!  You're not the first one who has complained about tag rippers.  It goes on ALL THE TIME in the myspace world and is one of the reasons why I got tired with making and sharing my snags a couple of years ago.  People who do it are ignorant and lazy.  They obviously have the programs and know hows to rip tags apart, then why oh why don't they just come up with their own ideas, be creative on their own!!!

I hope that they don't spoil the fun that we enjoy, by having you stop sharing them, that would be a shame!

Have a great day sweetie, if anything you at least know that you're work is wonderful, so much so that they go to those lengths to use them, not that it's right!

i do completely agree if you have done the work on the tag then you deserve the credit and you have paid for it xx  I wish people would stop doing that coz they will ruin it for the rest of us.  Glad you managed to speak to your son

Glad your son made you day =)

Mmm...bbq burgers...hope you enjoyed.

I don't blame you Donna, if i put all my time and effort
into making tags i wouldn't want them ripped apart either...and
others claiming them as their own...it's just not right!

Hugs
Terri
