~ AOL Community Photo Challenge - Green ~

DsDesignsGreenBuds.jpg picture by 55hockeyfan

(Deadline: The evening of Friday, March 21st)

They say that on St. Patrick's Day, the whole world is Irish. Well, you don't have to be Irish to find some green in your world. Whether it's a St. Paddy's Day parade, your aunt's green scarf or spring blossoms, shoot something green this week and share it with us.

Ok well you all know I went searching for green... since we are still covered in snow the likelihood of that happening is nil.  I went through my picture files and found a few.  I was amazed.  These are old... very old.  Not even taken with the camera I have now... but they are green.   I had a helluva time deciding which to place first in the entry and use for the challenge.  :::sigh::: but I had to make a choice.  Ok, ok... so I got some outside influences :)~

I'm posting later then usual, but there is still time if you want to play along.  Check it out

You certainly had a hard choice to make!  The buds with the promise of producing a flower, that adorable little frog and lilly pads.  I would've been doing a coin toss!

Beautiful entries - no doubts about it. :-)

I must compliment you on the wonderful "Green" photos -- I've been thinking about Spring and the environment (I'm a "Greenie" from the 60's, LOL!), plus I have a wildlife habitat (1.3 acres) and lots of gardens with flowers -- which, being in Georgia, is already starting its show -- and your wonderful photos have inspired me to begin a new blog (other than that oh-so-time consuming Taking on eBay Blog I've been running).  Still debating about the name of my more personal blog -- its going to start with the name "Greenspace", since I used to work for companies and tried to improve their greenspaces for environmental remediation purposes, but I'm thinking of following it with "Gods Little Acre", too.

The picture of the frogs and lily pads were especially endearing to me as amphibians worldwide are in SUCH a terrible decline due to pollutants -- and I must congratulate you on a WONDERFUL set of photos.  Keep up the good work!  As you can tell -- I find it inspiring!

Those buds are really wonderful.  So much depth!  I hope you'll shoot them again once they pop.

I also want to see that pond again when all the waterlillies bloom.  That must be something.
