~ Thanks for the Memories ~

     DsDesignsBrett.jpg picture by 55hockeyfan

One of the greats retired today.  I was shocked and saddened by the news.  Though I am a Bills fan through and through I've always loved Brett.  Character and class on and off the field.   Thanks for the memories Brett..... and good luck in whatever you decide to do.   Still have Deanna in my thoughts and prayers.  You are both warriors!!

I saw that about Brett.  It feels like he's been around forever and he will certainly be missed.

being from MN and involved in the border battle I never like anything Green Bay... but he was a great quarterback (some people will shoot me for saying that) I wonder though as he anounced his retirement the last two years if he means it. I haven't heard the whole thing just a commercial for the news saying he was doing it.

I do however, wish him well.  He's been playing a long time!

Luv,
Promise

I was surprised but I guess you have to retire at some point and apparently he was ready.  Hope you have a good and happy Wednesday. : )

THANKS for this GREAT tribute to Brett!  We here in Green Bay, WI and all over are saddened by the news too ~ deep down we thought he'd be back another year!  But, can't blame him for going out on a 'high note' ~ he had a WONDERFUL year last year!

It is the end of an ERA and WE WILL TRULY MISS HIM!!  It's going to take all the fans awhile to adjust to Packer football w/o Brett!

Thanks again for doing this one ~ from my heart, Lois B

Donna
Yes, it was a surprise, but this man has earned a right to take a break.  He was a class act and a joy to watch on he field.  He will be missed.

It's always a bit melancholy to see a 'great' retire.

It was sad news, but understandable.  I think his statement of "just being tired", was on the mark.  There was never any doubt this man played with every ounce of passion/proweress/strength he possessed.  I can't imagine anyone having watched, or seen an interview of Farve's that could walk away without knowing he gave the game his all.

In the years he waivered with the decision to retire or play...I believe he was tired then; he was so concerned with the loss of his father, his wife's illness, etc. - but he still loved the game, and there was something deep inside that wouldn't let him walk away.

My prayers and thoughts go to him and his family.  He will be missed in the sport,  for sure. ..but what a thrill for the heart to realize Brett went out on HIS terms.

I guess its better to retire while on top of your game then to fade away and eventually end up being traded etc...  Linda

Hi sweety :) MY husband who is really one of the BIGGEST GB fans i know and a BIGGER fan of Brett, lol really wanted me to tell u this entry was nice. I wanted to know too Donna if i could please snag this pic u made for my dh. He would love it. Ty hun just let me know if its ok. Anyhow i think it was a bigger shock to me then my hubby he made this choice. I think my hubby saw it coming. But yeah totally understandable after 17 yrs. Hes been thru so much, his wife battling cancer, the passing of his father, his pain med addiction. So much in his life and career but he overcame it all. Hes very genuine and just an amazing, strong person. A joy to watch play. Im not a big football person but i enjoyed watching him lol. Yeah ask my hubby cause i just think Brett is so hot, lol. But also an awesome player and person. I really wish him so much luck and Deanna too, there amazing ppl. Ty again for this entry. Also looking at ur other entries glad to see ur Dad is doing ok and he is healing well. I am still keeping him in my prayers. take care hun, *hugs, Leslie
