~ Hello ~

                DsDesignsHello-arm-.gif picture by 55hockeyfan

Well, I hope everyone is doing good.  Mid-week and things should be good.  ARGH!!!  I only wish.  I'm crabby.  LOL  Work has been good... nothing wrong there.   Ohhhh I suppose if I searched hard enough I could find something, but really it's good.

If you live in the US, and maybe anywhere, you've no doubt heard about Spitzer, the Governor of New York.   Ahh... let me rephrase that, the X- Governor of NY.  He resigned today.   I am not one to normally talk politics in this forum.  It can be overbearing, and we all have opinions.  Some go to the far out extreme and can actually ram it down your throat.  Not my style.  But I've heard enough about this story.  Once again sex and political figures are brought to the forefront for indiscretions.   It's tiring.   To say nothing about how it brings to light that politicians, all of them, think they are above the law.  Spitzer was hard nosed when he was the Attorney General of the State, and this seems to have surprised everyone.  HA!  Every one has skeletons in the closet.  Some worse then others.  As they campaign for the next election, remember that.  Take things as you see fit.  If it's out there don't for a minute think the other candidate is the only person who wants to bring it to light.  It's out there and is what it is.  I'm disgusted!  'Nuff said.

Ohhhhhh my boys.  I can't even begin to say how disgusted I am with them.  Starting last year before the playoffs they've gotten this almost 'I don't care attitude.'   You can blame it on the player losses in the off season, but they were here when it started.   You can blame it on management for not overpaying, you can blame it on the coach.   At the end of the day the players have to show up and give an effort.  Act as though they care.  Act like they want it.  Play like the want it.   They haven't.   We stand on the outside looking in with very few games left.  I will cheer them on until the bitter end but the realist in me is telling me they will be making an early tee time this year.  As it stands we have 3 defensemen when we should have 6 because of injuries (some from extremely cheap shots.  Enjoy the suspension Laraque!).  I'm disgusted!  'Nuff said

Didn't do dinner with the kid tonight, but I really wasn't expecting to.  We will do it this weekend and do some shopping for gifts.  He's looking for summer clothes for the upcoming vacation to Disney.  Mom will oblige.  I did pass on the wishes and he was flattered and said thanks.

Ok.... 'nuff said tonight.   Have a great Thursday everyone.

Hugs

~d

I watched his "apology" ... or whatever you called that.  LOL
I don't think the people care much anymore what folks are doing behind closed doors . . . . just don't use the people's $$ for it.  @@

I have a feeling we would all be shocked if we were able to look into the personal lives of ALL of our politicians.

This too shall pass.

XOXO,

The older I get the less surprised I am about anything that people in power will do...Sort of scares us to know that the  "powers that Be" are not taking their moral responsibilities any more serious than this.
love ya,

Whoa girlfriend.  You sound like you are 'loaded for bear' (as they say in the deep south).  LOL.  I'm with you...sick to death of the politicians.  Wish we had better choices in the presidential race this year.  I'm a die-hard republican but don't really have strong feelings for our candidate (or there's).  Just another election I guess.  Have a good rest of the week.

Donna
I'm glad Spitzer is moving on, nuff said.  Sorry the boys are still playing without gusto.  I was hoping they would turn things around before the season ended.  Glad you will get a chance to spend some time with your son this weekend.

I'm tired of all the politcal crap on TV right now.  If it's not the election, it's the ex-governor.  Now this morning, they're posting the pic of his last prostitute on TV.  Was that fair?  Did we really need to know who she was and what she lookes likes?  Hope you have a great day Donna!

Stands on the outside of political debates............ At the end of the day i feel no matter which way we vote it doesn't make any difference because they never deliver.

Sorry to hear about your boys

I vote but usually it's just voting for the lesser of two evils. Pretty sad huh? Emmi

I think it's rather funny in a sad way that we have so many crooked poloticians out there embezzling money, & staying rich & powerful & thats ok but if sex is the issue everyone wants to pull the plug on them. Doesn't seem right. Now in Spitzers case he's done both that's how his sex crime was let out of the bag, so he SHOULD be out. Enough said, lol. Hope you have a good day, i've felt crappy last few days myself. I can't wait for the weekend.

I am sad that it doesn't matter who you vote for, if they are running and politicians they are probably not nice people.

Donna, tough season for you and the Sabres. Don't feel too bad, look at the Flyers, even with the two good players you gave us we are still going to screw it up. The last two games, with the lead in each,  should have been wins and they blew it. They are going to end up out of the playoffs.
Haven't seen a picture of the "Bug" lately, I miss her, Bill

This long hard winter and the awful weather is getting everybody down over the Pond too.  Your team not pulling their weight wont be helping your mood either Donna.
I have read back through your previous entries to catch up and was so pleased to read that your Dad is getting around a lot beter now.  Even if he is aching a wee bit fromthe exertion.  Every day will see a little bit more improvement.  Bless him!
I will be putting in requests again soon for your tags as I just bought myself an external hardrive.  something I have needed for a very long time.
These tags are wonderful!  I especially like the winter one with the clock on it.  You are so clever!  Stay safe in this icy weather.

Small wonder people are turned off by politics. Bill Clinton, Sp(r)itzer, it just doesn't stop.

Yes that was a little bit of shock to have the Governor of the great state of NY resign so quickly after this scandal broke.  I do hope that more such secrets do not emerge about our presidential candidates that will cause them to have to drop out.  Gerry  http://journals.aol.com/gehi6/daughters-of-shadow-men/

Hi Donna, *hugs* Just wanted to wish u a Happy Friday and good weekend ahead. Im sorry u didnt get to have dinner with ur son. However it sounds like u all will have nice weekend plans. That will be great. Im sure he will enjoy gettign some things from his mom :) I know i love to shop with my mom, :) Anyhow i totally agree with u about the whole Sptizer thing. I swear as i was telling another blogger whos blog i read. She was talking about this too. Some ppl just have no morals anymroe and dont take marriage seriously. The whole thing is disgusting ur right truly. Im veyr sorry about ur boys as well. I never understand why that happens sometimes when these players have that attitude and dont have the motivation to play the game. Especially because there in there because they enjoy to play and love the game so much. maybe they are burnt out i dont know still no excuse. I really hope they get it together hun. Well hun dear take. Have a good wekend, ttys :) xo, Leslie
