~ Hot and Steamy ~

DsDesignsbackyarddeer.jpg picture by 55hockeyfan

Well summer has arrived.  Yesterday the temps soared into the mid 80's, the humidity was about 200%  So thick you cut it with a knife.  Haze hanging over the horizon.  The change caused havoc on my sinuses.  My head felt as though it would blow up in 1000 pieces.  Doesn't help with all the pollen and stuff flying in the air.  The older I get the more allergies hit me.  Wild storms blew through here last night giving a little relief, but it isn't suppose to last long.

I found these deer in my backyard the other day.  For a second they posed then there were off to the woods.  No doubt looking for some shade... or their babies... I know there are some back there just haven't gotten the evidence yet.

Today it's going to be in the 90's they say.  Still tons of humidity.  When I heard the forecast earlier in the week I decided to use another 2 hour pass and leave early.  My parents pool is open and it should prove to be refreshing.  Hopefully they'll turn the heater on this morning to get the chill out of the water.....  if not we'll be sharing it with some ice.  LOL  Kidding of course but that water will be cold.

I know I owe some tags, and some requests and I will get to them.  I've not even opened PSP in the last couple days and with the warm weather here I want to get out and enjoy.  I trust you'll understand.  I've also just recently found out that alerts are acting up.  I've missed some entries by some friends and I am so sorry.  I'd never just ignore....   hopefully I've fixed the issue.....  trust me I want to stop by!!

Hope everyone has a great Friday!

Hugs

~d

Enjoy that pool! The pollen is flying here too....where Rick works they have about 10 deer that roam and they recently gave birth. He thinks the little ones are so cute. What a nice pic you have of your deer! Enjoy leaving work early too.
LOVE YOU!

I like the idea of the temperature but not that humidity. I seem to have lost time just lately, trying to catch up on some alerts now while I have 10 mins spare lol. gonna have to change the important ones to my other screen name lol I seem to be on that one more often than this. Take care.

It went from unseasonable cool to hot and muggy where I am, too.  Weird weather.  My allergies and asthma are acting up as well.  Be good to yourself and go slow.  We all understand when you take your time.  I love the picture of the deer.  Deer are one of my favorite animals.  They are so peaceful and beautiful!  I hope you have a great weekend, D.!  Love, Val xox

... that has to be one of the cooler things, to be able to see deer nearby ... the heat this week is so sudden and humid, that is what is making it so hard to bear ... drink water and eat fruits ... take care ...

...oh yeah, the Wings did win the cup, don't you know ..! The parade is around the corner ..!

It was 93 here yesterday. Time for me to start living in my bedroom I guess .. lol. I can not tolerate the South's humidity and my allergy problems. Two shots a week and I still have to stay indoors.
The deer pic is awesome. Very rare to see deer in view this time of year here.
Thanks for sharing !

Boy, they just posed pretty for you huh.  Great shot.  Summer is here as well (but it should be in the South) and temps have been in the 90's all week with no rain in sight.  Happy Friday to you and hope you enjoy the pool.

Hi D, I didn't tealize ALERTS were down either.  I haven't gotten any for your journal since Sat or Sun until today : /  I love looking at the deer.  Taken from your bathroom??  Florida Deer are hardly larger than golden Labs.  Poor nutrients in the sand I suppose.  All wildlife is 1/2-1/2 the size as in NY.  Have a great wkend.  And brave the chill...take a dip in the pool! hugs, Bethe

I wish the temp would pick up over here. It warms up a bit, but it never seems to last.
