~ Sneaky Ba$tard ~

DsDesignsSneaky.jpg picture by 55hockeyfan

I found this sneaky little guy on my small bird feeder.  He shimmies' up the thin metal of the Shepard's hook and jumps to the landing.  He thinks it is his meal ticket for sure and sits there for hours chomping away.  He's even taught the squirrels how to get up there.  Ohhhh I can be sneaky too.  I will be going to get one of those guards that look similar to an umbrella to put on the bar so they can only get so far.   I know they have to eat too, but cripes they don't stop!!

I was accused of being a 'sneaky bastard' because I included a tag request in an entry and someone missed it.  Oh well.... no offense, but read all entries and that won't happen.  If you don't have time to do so, don't come crying to me name calling.  I am not obligated to highlight a tag request in the subject line, and must again say I do this fun.  Will say it was nice to see who actually comes to the journal for my journal and who comes only to get tags.  Not saying that is a bad thing, just saying it was interesting and then pretty hurtful to be called names based on a missed tag.

Today at work proved to be interesting as well.  I sat down to turn on my PC etc, and then got up to get a cup of tea.  On my way back to my desk my hand brushed my ass for whatever reason, I think I was fixing my top.  Anyway, I felt something on my pants.  It was on my hand and was blue.  'What the hell' I thought.  I went to the ladies room, washed my hands and tried to get it off my pants.  It smelled like toothpaste.  Now how the hell????  So I get back to my desk and there on my chair is globs of toothpaste.  It was on the back and on the seat.  Why would someone be standing over my chair putting toothpaste on their tooth brush?  It's not like I'm close to the bathroom or any sink for that matter.   I'd like to think I work with mature adults and it was an accident, but I don't think so it's a bit weird.  Someone was showing me some love.  How freaking bizarre....   but I've told you before some folks think I'm a bitch.  I just wish I knew what I did to deserve that.  Needless to say the toothpaste must have had some whitening agent in it as I know have a bleached out spot on my pants.  Greeeeeeeeat!!

So ... how is everyone else?  As you can see my day was full of absolute nonsense and sneaky antics... but I am good.  Temps cooled down a bit and are more seasonal.  Blue sky, warm breezes, and no humidity.  I watched the NHL awards tonight and want to give a shout out for all the winners.   Most of all I want to say congrats to Patrick Kane for getting rookie of the year.  You may remember when I highlighted him last year when he was the number 1 draft pick.  Local boy makes good.   My Dad knows his grandpa, and he is from the area.  I got tears in my eyes when he saluted his grandfather at the end of his speech.  'For my grandfather, this award is for you.'   His grandfather has been ill and couldn't make the trip to Toronto.   Congrats Pat...  well deserved!!!

Well... it's that magical time.   Hope everyone has a great Friday!   Don't worry I will be more careful when I sit down these days.  LOL

Hugs

Oh gezzzz...you were cussed out because you didn't label and Entry "tag request".  I may not make it for every entry or every tag...but, I don't blame you : /  That's just crazy talk.  The toothpaste~how terrible.  Some one needs to learn some social skills.  Hmmm, does your office have a video cam?
So sorry it wasn't the greatest day.  And yeh, get that sneaky bastard!  Set him straight!  hugsss, Bethe

Some people are so juvenile toothpaste on your seat is a little immature don't you think. We are having trouble over here with squirrels we seem to have a new variety a pure black squirrel that is killing off our greys much as the greys killed off the reds in most areas. Hope your baffle works and the birds get their feeder back.

How could anybody name call over a missed tag. Surely it was their fault if they didn't see it not yours! I love the lil chipmunk, sorry, I know he may eat a lot but he's cute! Maybe he'll eat so much he won't be able to climb the pole soon! Toothpaste on your chair? That's really infantile if it was done on purpose!I hope today is better with no more toothpaste or chipmunks! Jeannette xx

well if people would read ALL the entries they would have seen, now wouldn't they...stupid people.

How sweet of that young man to dedicate that to his grandfather, I would have been crying probably.

Have a great weekend D....don't forget to look at your seat before you sit down today

Oh, cripes, I thought the days of immature co-workers were over until someone wrecked my office chair last year and then was mad at me for complaining to management about it.  LOL  Just gotta, you know, ignore 'them' I guess.

Hey!  Maybe your troll here is a troll at work too.  Nah.

The sneaky little buggers are overrunning the backyard here.  My lawn is full of tunnels, and the darn things squeak when you startled them -- therefore startling you!

Cute.  But pains.

For anyone to complain about missing a tag because you did not mention it at the top of the entry totally baffles me.  You spend your free time doing these and they are absolutely beautiful to me.  I really cherish each one you have done for me and have had many compliments on them, that they have cheered up many I have sent them to.  This person owes you an apology in your comment section.  As for the toothpaste, I must agree with you, I dont think that this was done by accident, there would not have been so much toothpaste such a little blob.   The NHL awards are a very big thing here in Toronto, and I know you love your hockey.  I wish they had televised it there in Buffalo for you all.  God bless and you keep up the wonderful work you do here, Donna.  I for one very much appreciate it, and while I dont always comment, I read your journal most every day.  I love your photos  they absolutely amaze me, you are truly gifted.  I still say you should get in touch with a publisher and have a book done of them.  God bless.

Ohh Donna..heartwarming story about rookie of the year...and its a great person who remembers their grandparents.

I could not believe someone put toothpaste on ur chair, I dont know any other logical explanation for it..sounds like some immature behaviour.

As far as name calling, unbelievable that someone would do that after all your long hrs and hard work making tags for everyone, out of the kindess of your heart.

Re the squirell, I had to laugh..I thought they were just so cute until they started eating my flower bulbs...and the birdseed.....so I too had to find a place to put a bird feeder they couldnt reach, and then i got those corn cobs they make for squirrels and had fun feeding them that...and put food out for them seperate. They will store food for later too, often by burying it...they love peanuts too.

I sure hope you have a better day at work and yippee its Friday!!!!
hugs and love,Carolina

I can't believe an adult would do something like that to someone.  I'd hate to be the one that did it and get caught.  :/
Love your picture and description.  :)

well, even if you are a bitch you sure are a smart, talented and beautiful  bitch. If only the jerkwad immature toothpaste prankster was as damn smart, talented and pretty as YOU.
And for whoever got pissy about your tags, i would not make them another tag ever again. Jesus, what is wrong with people? We are lucky you still want to tag after all the juvenile bullshit some whacked out Jlander's have pulled on you...and others.
i do not like squirrels....and i hope you do get them off your feeder. Let them go find another one to rob.
LOVE YOU

I have chimpmunks eating from my feeders too.  I've tried all kinds of things to keep them off, but so far, nothing works.  I can't believe someone put toothpaste on your chair.  If you ever find out who it was, I'd make them replace your pants.
Have a good weekend.

Dear Sweet Donna I can't believe that someone would do all these horrible things to you. And as for the tags you do this for free, they have no right calling you names. And someone will slip up and tell about the toothpaste incident ,then I would say you owe me a pair of pants. I hope you have a wonderful day today but it is Friday the 13th lol. Love ya girl

Unbelievable - both the name calling and the toothpaste antic.  What about letting a supervisor know?  That kind of behavior would not be tolerated in my office.  Of course, I'd be the supervisor that would kick butt!!

I agree with the other commenter - do not do any more tags for that ungrateful person.  I actually thought at first it was someone that was close to you and they were teasing.  Guess not.

Thanks for all you do.

Donna

I love the picture of the chipmunk, it is so cute!   I'm jealous of you and your camera, you are both terrific!  Also that really stinks about the tooth paste.  I can't believe that someone that you work with would do that to you.  If you want to have some fun with the people who think you are a bitch and they have the old fashion mouse with the ball, take tape and cover half of the ball with it.  It will drive them nuts for a min or two before they see the tape.  I'm not sure if it works with the new type of mouse.  Innocent prank and no one will have to run to the bathroom to clean up.

... I wonder what is up with the toothpaste thing ..?  Don't think it is anything to be worried about, do you ..?  That would be the kind of thing that all my 'niceness' couldn't contain, and I would start stepping to the usual suspects STRAIGHT AWAY ...

... but that is me ... btw, I don't know if you heard, but the Red Wings won the Stanley Cup ..!
