~ And another ~

DsDesignsAHappyLife.jpg picture by 55hockeyfan

Can you tell I had fun yesterday while at the botanical gardens?  The flowers inside and the birds outside in the rain.  Makes me feel like spring is here... and of course that puts me in a great mood!  I loved the shots of the mallard.  The beads of water from the rain laying on the feathers and his beak hidden under his wing.  I love it!

So the boys are done.  They won their last game tonight 3-0.  The backup goalie played and I know it's only a matter of time before folks start screaming that he should have played earlier.  I don't agree.  It was a low pressure game and much easier to play......... ya know?   Tep played tonight too.  The first game this season.  You may remember he had open heart surgery in the beginning of the season.   He's worked hard the last few weeks to get into a game so I'm glad he was able to do it.  That kind of passion is hard for me to get.  It's his heart for cripes sake.   Not only that they spread his sternum apart.   With each hit he took, I cringed.  He did an interview after the game and said it felt great.  Good for him!!   Be ready for the polls to come out  LMAO... start picking colors and cities.  As soon as the seeding is in place I will post who plays who.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Hugs

Great picture of a duck!  I try to get photos of the wild ducks around here, but they are TOO shy to let anyone get close -- and always seem to be hidden in the weeds.  Loved the coloration of the bird!

BTW, congratulations on the assignment to be Guest Editor on Magic Smoke!  Great posting over there, and NOT just because you were sweet enough to drop my blog http://journals.aol.com/mhogue3909/greenspaces.com/ -- it was a great post with links to some fantastic blogs!  But your photos just keep me coming back to see what else you've done.  And its always such good work!  I really enjoy 'dropping' in and catching some 'eye candy'!  And I sure appreciated the heads up on the Photo Challenge, too!  It was a great chance to see more great work by other creative photographers.  Inspiring enough that I took on that other blog, http://journals.aol.com/mhogue3909/greenspace.com-photo_gallery/ just for photos that don't fit the topic on Greenspaces and the Little Green Acre.  You are soo good at ideas and sure helped ME to think of ways to get some of my 'junk' out here (not recommending my stuff one way or the other, tho' -- thats for viewers to judge, NOT me, LOL!  I have SUCH a terrible eye for my own work; always finding something I don't like about it.)  But your photos and encouragement are inspiring!  Keep up the excellent work, and I'm sure you'll be a regular feature on "Magic Smoke" before long!

Until later ... Mike

... I honestly haven't followed the season as I normally do ... but I thought Buffalo did pretty good with what they had ... maybe they could have given Miller more nights off ... I don't think it would have hurt ... too much travel for a goalie to play so many days nowadays ...

Love that duck shot!    Those water droplets are so clear!
I can't believe that guy played after open heart surgery like that.  Surely he had his doctor's approval, though.

Darn troll, but you know it gives us all something to chuckle about ...

I love these ducks, their colors are so pretty.  I thnk most people walk by a duck and never really take the time to "see" it.  Love the water on him too.  Great shot.
