~ Black Bird ~

                    DsDesignsBlackBird.jpg picture by 55hockeyfan

Or is it?  I'm far from a bird watcher, and I really have no idea what this is.  A very large black bird, a crow, a mag pie.  What I do know is there are tons of them by my work.  They are noisy, and somewhat mean to the smaller birds in the area.  They don't hurt them, but as you watch the smaller birds gather twigs and such for their nests these big things swoop in and scare them away.  They are always around.  Doesn't matter the time of day or weather.   Every time I see them I watch and think of this ...................

just thought I'd share that.  LOL

Today it is in the 40's, it's dark and gloomy but no rain yet.  It did rain throughout the evening and I heard a few booms of thunder.  They are saying the temps will drop again and we have a chance of wet snow.  Oh the joy!  Nothing like a few flakes in April.  NOT!!!

I'm off to shop.  For me..  OMG!  Can you believe it?  I hate shopping....  yes a female that hates to shop.   I need new slacks for work.  I have winter ones and summer ones but nothing for in between.  I need something that fits and isn't falling off me.  Wish me luck!!

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Hugs

That looks like a crow.  They make a loud caw sound.  I hate to shop too girlfriend.  I usually do all my shopping on line for clothes.  The only real shopping I do is my once-a-month trip to Walmart to stock up on food and other stuff.  lol.

Ok here is a little bird trivia for you. Blackbirds generally have small orange-yellow beaks. Magpies believe it or not are a combination blk/white bird, more blk. Crows which is the above have shorter beaks and bodies. Raven's you couldn't miss - are rather large and daunting. If you ever see a crow and raven next to one another you won't miss the raven, it will tower over the crow.

Love the picture! People tend to get all the blk birds mixed up from time to time. I thought it might interest you to know the easy tell a tale signs.

As for shopping, I'm another one who dreads it. I don't know, perhaps it's my age showing and I no longer have patience for the crowds and general store atmsosphere. (Hugs) Indigo

OMG, how could any woman hate to shop!!! ROFL.....oh I'm a shopper! LOVE it and always ready to go....lol....I'm on of the ones that's up bright and early for the Black Friday shopping.....believe it or not....my 18 year old son goes with me every year...he loves it and he is up between 2-3 am with mom...lol

Hope you find what you are looking for while you are out shopping.

Today in PA it has been 79 degrees!!! It has been so nice and nice to get my kids out of the house! Sucks that you might be getting some snow.....ugh, I would hate that especially after the nice weather we have been getting.

Nice picture of the bird! We some beautiful birds around our house....I'm actually looking for a bird feeder to place in my yard but  want one that allows me to put in 3-4 different kinds of seed.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend

I love the photo!  I'm not sure what it is either, though!  I don't think it's a crow, but I may very well be mistaken.

I love to shop, but it's frustrating trying to find clothes that actually fit me!

Enjoy your what remains of the weekend!

LOVED seeing Mr. McCartney. Rick calls those birds "the thieves". He says they steal the other birds foods and he will sit and watch them for hours. Raining and funky in Ohio too. I think it would be fun to shop with you but i do not like to shop either because i am fat and can not fit in the clothes! LOVE YOU SO

Looks like a fat crow to me but what do I know...lol?  It is cold and dreary here today, yuck.  It was sleeting when I got home from grocery shopping but, as you know, this is petty typical for this area for April and even May.  Love ya, Chris
