~ JLand Photo Shoot #133 - Spring ~

This week's JLand Photo Shoot will begin today (Tuesday) and will be due on Saturday, April 26, at 11 PM Eastern Time.  That's Saturday, almost midnight, an hour before Sunday, for those of you who are getting confused!

Our subject for this photo shoot is:

                                     Spring

This is what I found in the bird feeder when I got home :)  A sign of spring to me.  Besides I used all my flowers and there is nothing in my garden just yet, need a couple more weeks to be sure it stays warm.   Stop by Krissy's and play along.

I have a wreath on my front door, it has purple and yellow dried flowers it in. I made the wreath. I came home the other day and a bird flew out from the wreath. We wondered why a bird was in it . We soon saw why. She had built a bird's nest in my wreath. There are small eggs in the nest already. I wanted to make pictues of them, but did not want to frighten the Mother. That was definitely a sign of Spring !!

Aren't those finches pretty?
We got a few feeders around my house.   We've been taken over by big black birds...they are hogs.     We even had a flock of red winged blackbirds come through, which are kinda unusual around here...  and then, there's another group of black birds that make this water dropping sound.   Cardinals are definitely prettier!    May the black birds stay away (except the ones that make water sounds, you should hear a group of those at least once.)

It didn;t take long for the those hungry birds to show up did it?  Love the photo D ~Bethe

What a pretty golden finch.  I see a lot of black sunflower seeds in that mix...you should have cardinals soon.

I know that you have the prettiest pictures & graphics that I have ever seen.  I don't even have a journal, but I love reading them & looking at the beautiful graphics.  Your's are the best hands down!!!!!!!

Where we live in Michigan, that's a spring/summer Goldfinch because when it gets to be fall....the bright yellow ones like in your picture, migrate to where it's warm and we get the duller ones for the winter. When I used to do birds...I think I remember reading that they actually trade places, or something like that. I miss my birds....when we moved to this house I had to give it all up. That's a great picture.

Linda
