~ Quickie ~

DsDesignsCotton.jpg picture by 55hockeyfan

Just wanted to drop in and say hi!  ::waving::  I hope everyone is doing well.   I'm doing good, tired but good.   Today was the day from hell from the minute I woke up.  I say I got out of bed on the wrong side and since the wall is on that side you can only imagine.  LOL   It went down hill.  I won't get into all my frustrations, but it wasn't pretty.  After work my sister and I went shopping to find something for my nieces wedding.  GRRRRRRRR  I found nothing!!!

About mid day a co-worker made my day.  He is selling his SLR camera and let me bring it home today to play with to see what I thought.   It's a Canon Rebel.  He gave me lenses etc and all will go in the selling package.  We both thought I'd be able to take pictures and transfer them but low and behold tonight I tried.  No dice.  I will need to get the software from him tomorrow and load it before I can see the shots I took.  To say the least that was frustrating as well.  The pictures were of nothing but I wanted to see the difference on my PC.  I'm not that 'photographer' but I do see some pictures and can't help but wonder if mine would look as crisp with a better camera.  I'll have to wait..................

The picture in the entry is with my camera from the other day.  Just messing around near the woods.   I've also been spending time watching the boys.  They have not won either preseason game, but I'm ok with it.  The regulars barely play.  It's to see what the others have to offer.  It's exciting to see the young blood.

Ok, I said quick and I kid you not when I say I'm tired...  my eye lids are closing and wanting to stay closed.   Be good everyone...

Hugs

You sure love your pictures.  Software is important to be able to download them LOL  I know someone that has a Cannon Rebel . . . very nice camera.  Hopefully you can download them tomorrow and your day will be from heaven instead.

<sigh> Okay...I'll try to be good. You spoil all the fun! <wink>

Sorry to hear you had a crummy day--I hope tomorrow is much better!

Ken recently got a Canon EOS Rebel, and he loves it. It takes great pictures, and he recently got some interesting filters to play around with. It obviously takes much better pics than my Canon point-and-shoot (he's also got a telephoto lens that lets him take some great shots), but the biggest difference is how FAST it is. We were taking pictures of the deer in our back yard one day, and I'd take a picture...click......click...Ken was in "sports mode," and he was going click click click, one picture right after another. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't envious! LOL

If the guy asks a reasonable price on the camera, I'm sure you'll love it. Also, I wonder if the software isn't available online through the Canon site...?

All my best,
Beth

Your pictures are always so beautiful, Donna. I just adore the close-up of this one. Makes me feel like I'm dancing in the air, light as a breeze. Whee! (oh, do you want me to send you some of my house guests - the spiders, to chase all the nasty stuff away) - would be my pleasure, lol.
Always, Rose~*

Donna
Sorry you didn't get to do your comparison last night.  Hopefully your friend will have the software with him today and you can do your comparrison tonight.  I had an acquaintance hand me his Nikon D60 SLR this summer so I could see what it felt like ... I sure did not want to hand it back to him, LOL!  Sorry you had "one of those days."  I hope today bodes better for you.  Go Sabres!

At first I thought you figured out how to download the images....I thought this was from your visiting camera...Ü

Rob did an entry;
http://journals.aol.com/mariebm56/aol-community-photo-challenge/entries/2008/09/23/something-a-little-different-for-this-page/735?numComment=all

Thought you may want to read it.  Basically it's the Photographer, not the camera that takes a good photo....Ü

But either way, sounds like you will be getting a good camera, with extras!...Ü

Cool pic. I like that sort of photo.

Also, I have just noticed your sidebar picture. You look like the lady that works in my local grocery store.
You dont work in my local grocery store do you?

Thought not. That would be silly. It would take you bloody aaaages to get to work!

The photo above and all your shots are great.  I have the rebel and just got a new book on how to get the most out of it.  Should have read it before my trip but I love it.

D. damn, that picture is as sharp as can be.  My monitor isn't even the best in the world but it's super crisp and detailed.  I'd be interested to see what the other camera looked like also.  I know those kinds of frustrating days also...been having quite a few at work lately.  Love ya, Chris
