Retreat

DsDesignsPeacefulCountry.gif

I went through several graphics thinking where would I like to retreat to.  I looked at beautiful white sand beaches with beautiful sunrises and sunsets.  Palm trees all about.  Salt filled breezes and the light hum of the surf rolling onto shore.  Green mountain scenes with wild life roaming the surroundings.  The leaves rustling in a soft breeze far away from everything and everyone.  Then I saw this and immediately thought this is it, this is my retreat!  I haven't done well in the sun the past several years, and high atop a mountain sounds nice, but this is perfect.  The rumble of a small falls close by to ease the tension and lull you into relaxation.  Mountains and rock formations in the background.  Sitting on the porch picking out items in the mixture of the rocks, plants and trees.  Remember laying in the grass and seeing angels, dogs, horses, and smiles in the clouds?  The water rustling across the rocks and through the mill.  Standing on the shore with a fishing pole acting as though I know what I'm doing.  Because you know damn well I am not putting a worm on the hook or taking a fish off!  I can hold the pole real well and that is what I'd be doing.  It's not about what you catch anyway, is it?  It's about connecting with nature and taking a 'load off.'  Silent company of nature.

Working on this graphic I could almost feel the tension leave my shoulders.  Or was it the quiet in the house tonight?  Either way it was nice to have a calmness around me.  No yelling, cursing, phones ringing off the hook.  Me and the hum of my computer.  Aaaah I've missed that!  Now to make plans to find this place and spend a couple years there!  :)~
