~ In your own Backyard ~

DsDesignsInyourownbackyard.jpg picture by 55hockeyfan

It's late and I'm pretty tired.  It was a very busy day at work today, but when all was said and done I did accomplish all I needed to.  Doesn't change the fact that I'm as happy as a pig in shit that I'm leaving early tomorrow and it's a holiday weekend.   No major plans.  A cook out here, a cook out there.  Will be fun yet relaxing.  Hopefully it won't rain!!

These pictures are from my sisters backyard the night of 'bugs' party.  Including the moon.  It was low and bright after the eclipse earlier in the day.  Such beauty right before our eyes.  How often we just pass it by.  I've noticed myself taking more and more pictures of things we just take for granted.  It's a good thing right?  LOL

Hope everyone is doing good.  Let me be the first to say TGIF!!!  LOL  I'm off to bed, I will catch up more over the weekend.  Be safe and happy.

Hugs

~d

Prove you're going to a cookout ;-).  I'm just being a pain.  I figure I'll be a sock puppet without actually disguising my sn. ;-0

Your sister's grapes are ripening nicely.  I have just looked up at mine outside and above my patio door, and they are ripening too, but they are not as fat as they were last year. Her garden looks super too!
We don't always stop to look up at the moon or smell the flowers often enough.  Thanks for reminding me.
Have a lovely holiday weekend.

Beautiful pictures.  You are so right.  We're usually so busy we just buzz right by the beauty.  Happy day!!  We've started our vacation!  No specific travel planned -- probably a couple of day trips next week.  It's supposed to rain all weekend here.  Bummer -- but we need it so shouldn't complain!  Have a great weekend.  Linda (Friday's Child)

Love the layouts.  Too pretty.  I think digital cameras have really enhanced life for the average photographer.  We don't worry anymore about the cost of developing film, we just shoot!

Hi Donna.  I am loving these scrap tags with your photos in them!  Really nice!  I need a new camera again.  Darn teenagers!  lol  And yes we do take way too much for granted, I agree.  Love, Shelly

Thosr are great shots Donna! I agree that when we get older we tend to appreciate beauty in everyday things that we were probably too busy to notice in our young days. Have a great weekend! Jeannette xx

It's only 8 pm here so I'm pursuing Journals, getting a nice eyeful from yours as usual.  I know you'll have a great weekend, play by ear.  We dont expect rain here in the east so I'm enjoying all I can.  Thanks Donna, for snapping moments in time we may miss, to enjoy when life slows us down a bit!  xoxo CATHY

I think I could take some lessons from you and literally stop to smell the flowers.  :)

Life always seems so hectic.

Oh, I like this album page -- all the colors blend very well together.  Over the last year or two I find myself snapping pictures of daily items that I tended to overlook.  Funny how that works.  :)
