Frigid!

        Millrdpark12-05.gif

I wasn't kidding when I said it was cold out.  Last night the temp had to dip down to at least 0, if not below.  When I woke up this morning it was a balmy 1.  The sun was shining with a few flakes here and there, but it was cold!  When starting the car it gave a little growl and I swear I heard it say, 'lady are you nuts!?! go back inside.' When I got home from work I had these beautiful pictures from my father.  He was up and out early and when he passed this small park near his house and saw the ice crystals on the trees he turned around to get his camera.  Ah, to be retired and have no time restraints, what a life!  I added moving snow to the one picture, but the other I left as is other than misting the surroundings.  I thought it was perfect just the way it was.  The sun rays and the ice on the branches.

Your father's photos are great...I especially love the composition on the second one, and the effects you've added really make them snap! Beautiful collaboration. :)

Yhese are great photos, as you say, ah! to be retired. I'd love to just be able to spend my life taking photos, there's so much beauty in the world when we stop to look. Hope the thermometer goes up for you today!! Jeannette.
