WAR ZONE

Hi Folks!

Just want everyone to know I am safe. I've been without power since late Thursday night and they are saying it could be another 7 days before we are up and running.  Yes I said 7 days!!  I woke up on Friday to 22 inches of wet heavy snow.  Downed trees and wires.  Limbs and branches all over the place, roads are not passable.  It is like a war zone but we are safe.  I'm doing this from a remote location and probably won't be back for some time... or 'til the power company gets things up and running.  Over 300,000 folks in total without power.. and who knows when the cable connection will be back.

No damage to my house other then no power and heat.  Steve lost a few windows but he is safe.  I will share more when I can.

Glad to hear you are both safe.... I wondered if you were without power since there were no entries... I feel for you. I will sometimes not use the computer all day, but I know it is there. The two months I didn't have access it drove me nuts!! I may not be using it, but I like to know it is available <LOL>

Donna, so glad you and your son are OK.
I watched the news reports and really appreciate how bad the storm was. Looks like the people respond well and give a hand where they can.
Take care and stay warm. Bill

Donna,
hope you can recognize the screen name.  AOL decided to supsend my AIM account so I had to recreate a new one.  AOL is a piece of work.  Anyway, glad to here you are doing ok.  We don't email chat much anymore and I don't get out to your blog too often but it's nice to know if I need to check on you... your blog will let me know what's going on with you.  We do need to set up a chat night with you, me and Gayle.  It's been way too long.  I must say... your graphics are incredible.  You have come a long, baby, and it shows.  Hugs and love... LizzyD.

I heard that Buffalow got clobbered on Friday at work because the VA Regional Office was closed there.  We were fielding calls.  I didn't realize just how horrible it was.  Definitely will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.  HUGS  Chris
