~ Contest ~

 

Just having some fun here and sharing the hype of the upcoming playoffs.  A local radio station is having a contest.  Send in a song parody for the boys and win a flat screen TV.  They've had several entries already, and some are pretty good.  While at work today a co-worker sent me an email with his.  I thought it was great.  He sent it into the station, but as of yet it's not on their website.  I'm sure it will be.  He gave me permission to upload his song to share.  Along with his lyrics.  I am posting his lyrics with a bit of an explanation as some of his references might not make sense. click here to hear Truckin Parody

 

Cuppin. Up in Buffalo

Remember last season when we came so close (we were knocked out in the Conference Finals after a rash of injuries)

This year, we're gonna bring it home

We just keep cuppin on.

 

It all began sometime in early October  (remember our storm?)

The Sabres were winnin - trees were fallin down (Boys were on a winning streak and the city was without power and so many trees had fallen down because of the storm fans still attending all the home games)

Its hard to imagine that 10 games it was over

But when yer this good, there ain't no messin around.

 

Dallas, had the All - Star Game

1999 was such a shame (we lost the cup in game 6 on a shitty call but I won't go into it.  LOL)

This time, we won't pull up lame (playing with out 6 starters in the play offs last year)

We just keep cuppin all the way.

 

What in the world ever became of Tallinder

Everytime I turn around he's breakin an arm. (he broke his arm in the playoffs last year and then broke the same one in the beginning of this season missing a couple months I sent the team milk.  LOL)

I open my eyes, their droppin' like flies, and its ok (all season we have had a rash of injuries, they are starting to come back now.  Just in time!)

Cuz if they go down we call up the boys on the farm (the minor team who when filling in have played absolutely amazing!)

and 51 you can call Soupy (Brian Campbell)

Where the hell's Tim Connolly?!?! (he's been out since the playoffs last year with a major injury.  Looks like he will be playing tomorrow.  YEAH!)
