~ One of those Days ~

        DsDesignsJustoneofthosedays.gif

I was in a goofy mood all day long.  Just silly and weird.  Felt good!  Things didn't go exactly as planned but it was a good one, nothing so bad that I couldn't fix it.  The weather was great and at lunch time I decided to go outside and sit at the picnic table out back.  No big deal, sun was shining and air felt good.  A slight breeze that blew in the smell of Cheerio's from the General Mills Plant.  What a great smell.  You'd never know I had already eaten lunch, the smell made me hungry!  LOL  As I sat there I could hear the sounds of spring.  Birds chirping, squirrels making the noise they do, music from cars as the drove past with their windows open.  Something that will be short lived as the temps are dropping fast, wind is blowing harder, and they will be calling for snow.  BRRRRRRRRRR  what happened to spring?

I happened to notice a man in the parking lot next door.  He'd take a few steps and bend over.  Stand upright and take a few more steps before he'd bend over again.  From my vantage point he looked to be in his 60's.  He wasn't dressed bad but his clothes did not look that clean.  He wasn't scary or anything.  I watched and tried to figure out what on earth he was doing.  He kept the routine up as he walked in my general direction.  When he realized I was sitting there he lit up like a light and walked faster towards me breaking his routine.  He didn't come into our parking area where I was, but stopped at the top of the steps that lead down to it.  He yelled, 'Ma'am you got a smoke?'  I looked at him and realized he wasn't in his 60's at all.  If he was 40 he was old.  His face showed signs of a rough life.  His walk and posture that of someone who maybe lifted way too much throughout.  I said 'no, sorry.'  And he looked devastated.  He looked on the ground around him and bent over.  It was then I realized he was actually picking up butts.  I felt so sad for this man.  He wasn't dressed the best, but you couldtell at one point life was kinder to him.  He was polite and dignified.  Well, as dignified as one can be as they scraped the ground for cigarettes.  He thanked me, wished me a good day, and off he went.  The same routine.  A few steps............  What a sad thing to see as I was feeling so silly.  How horrible that life has brought this man to such a low point.  I didn't even want to think what or why but I did say a little prayer for him.

Ok, the graphics are silly and do not really go along with that story, but I worked hard not to let my mood be swayed.  Am I horrible?  I am not sure, but it's been days since I felt like this and I needed it to hang around a bit.  :::hanging head:::   The excitement of my boys only lifted my spirits even more.  And yes, I did notice (after the fact) that I flipped Jochen to fit him in the picture and his logo and number are backwards.  I know Sam will notice so I am letting him know now, I am NOT fixing it.  LMAO  Say what you will Sam :)~

I also did a silly tag offer.  I am really tired of bunnies.  Yes they are cute, but enough already.  How many twitching bunnies can one have?  Soooooooooooooooo I decided sexy eyes would be a good graphic.  If you'd like your name on it, click on the graphic and request it.  If your name is Jennifer feel free to snag... I added that name for someone and decided to just use that as a sample.

Yes that is very sad.  Sadder still that it just shows the power of the addiction of cigarettes.  Glad I never smoked.  I remember picking up soda cans around town to get some extra money for Travis when he was a baby.  Cute graphics!  Linda

It is sad when you see people reduced to such a low station in life.  It always makes me feel bad to see soemthing like this, too.  Gee, am I that bad about pointing out errors?  I always tried to do it in an Email so as not to embarass.  Now I have a reputation to live down, LOL.

Well you know you say it is sad but some people actually choose to life like that. There was a guy in a town I used to live in who lived on the street, scrounging around for food his trousers held up with a string belt, but when he died he left over 1million £'s to charity. He just liked to live like that.

I feel bad for that guy.  At least he was polite.  I always wonder what their story is that got them there.  Everyone has a story.
Hope you had a good night.

I wonder also, like Pam, about that man. I hope he was not out in the cold. Hope he does not have some addiction. SIGH.
The winds here will be 40 MPH today. 50MPH tomorrow. Snow showers tonight. Rick is out working in this crap. I am glad your boys won. OSU lost, many grumps here in my life.

Poor guy!    Sometimes we have to hit rock bottom before we do what we are supposed to do in life.    Maybe his rock bottom will be his turning point...I hope so.   It's heart breaking, isn't it?
On a lighter note, those are really cute graphics!
