MAFF is the acronym for a now defunct British government department, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food or, in Japan, the Ministry of Agrigulture, Forestry and Farming. Another alternative is the Munich Accelerator for Fission Fragments. Take your pick! :O)
