Ok shoot me....... it's not the sunrise.......this is actually what I saw in my backyard when I got home last night. I had my camera handy so I headed straight back to get the shot. The colors were definitely more vibrant live, but I think this does a bit of justice. I had to add some effect since I wasn't going to animate it and I actually like it.
It's freezing here and last night I actually had to sleep with socks on! I'm a barefoot girl normally but I could not get warm for anything. Socks? In bed? Eeeewwww... but toes were nice and cozy.

Can you see that pink "almost" cross shape? Either or, it's a beautiful picture of dusk and I'm glad you caught it. Very easy on the eyes. So, no socks in bed, eh? That's a beautiful sunset!! I hate how the colors are always so incredible but yet can't be fully captured on your camera. I have been known to wear socks to bed also when I just can't get warm. Hope you have a great day today at work!

Beautiful picture! I am a gal who is ALWAYS COLD! I have to wear socks all the time or I freeze! Socks to bed...socks puttering around the house. I literally sleep in flannel PJ's or sweat pants and shirt. Well....I have water bed with nice heater in it.....so I still wear the socks....but not the heavy duty PJ's or sweats. Geez......I've told you more than you needed to know. LOL!!!

Hey this barefooter slept with fuzzy wuzzy slippers on even under an artic sleeping bag last night! Just found a supply of kereosene to use for heat this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got 10 gallons at $4.00 a gal........
But we still have phone and power I see..... so sitting in or on a electric padding to write here at the desk, as home warms up a bit and thats going to take awhile??
Found out not to say you now have power on, as others get Real Mad if they don't have any power yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woooooooo whooooooooo Mad!

What a wonderfull photo. At the moment here in the UK we are being lashed by high winds and one of the trees in my garden has just had its top snapped off. Lucky it fell in a neighbours garden because if it had fallen in the other direction I would be minus a conservatory now. Love Pat x

Thank God we have no snow, sleet or ice in SC where I am but my xDIL is getting hit pretty bad in Oklahoma. Glad I am in the south but I hate Hurricane season!

That is a rare phenomenon, I think it's called a solar pillar, caused by refraction of the light through clouds. Well done!

Hello.....Its so nice to see all of your wonderful graphics in your journal. I love this shot at the top of your entry. I have to say that I have a guilty secret....I wear winter socks with funny cartoon characters or sayings on them. I can't go to bed without a pair on so your not the only one.
